Tales Of Link Tales of Ansis Tales Of Jin Yeah, More Tales Trademarks

Tales Of Link? Tales of Ansis? Tales Of Jin? Yeah, More Tales TrademarksRight before Namco Bandai announces a new Tales game they file a ton of trademarks. In addition to the Tales of Zestoria, Tales of Creales, and Tales of Catastora trademarks we found three more Tales trademarks.

'

Tales of Link, Tales of Jin and Tales of Ansis were also filed by Namco Bandai. These potential names sound different than say Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Xillia or Tales of Zestoria. Tales of Jin and Tales of Ansis sound like these "tales" are about a single character.

'

By the way, I'm sorting through the entries from our Tales of Xillia giveaway. There were way more than I expected (I guess Siliconera has grown quite a bit?) and many of them are great. It's going to take a little while to judge these.

how level-5 's little battlers strategy rpg works

How Level 5s Little Battlers Strategy RPG Works The Little Battlers Wars is a strategy RPG take on Level-5’s The Little Battlers RPG series.

The Nintendo 3DS game takes the original premise of fighting with miniature mechs and places it in a battlefield where LBX players compete in teams.

The story takes place in Kamui Daimon United Academy, a prestigious school built for LBX players. Underneath the school is a battlefield ten kilometers in diameter called Second World, where battles between LBXes unfold. You play as a new transfer student in this school and can interact with the heroes of the anime, Arata and Hikaru.

Aside From All The Anime Heroines, Super Heroine Chronicle Is Like Any Other SRPG

Aside From All The Anime Heroines, Super Heroine Chronicle Is Like Any Other SRPG

Super Heroine Chronicle sticks to the tried and true strategy RPG formula. Players move units on a map and attack enemies. The twist is the playable characters come from a hodgepodge of anime series including Higurashi When They Cry and The Familiar of Zero.

'

Namco Bandai made a few original characters for the game too which were designed by notable artists.

Noel (left) was created by Growlanser artist Satoshi Urushihara. Noel combines magic and black magic to create "magical magic," an ability she can use to attack enemies from a distance. She's still learning so sometimes the skill may be ineffective. When Noel was a child a magician in a purple leotard saved her life, so she aspired to become a magician to help people.

'

Eternal Poison artist Shinichiro Otsuka designed Claude (center). He's a mysterious boy that traveled around the world, but lost his memory. Sometimes Claude will mutter things to himself. His timid personality makes him a natural pacifist and horrible fighter. In Claude's specialty is escaping battles and he can use recovery magic.

'

Tora Minazuki known for the To Heart series drew Meru (right) who learned the art of the Magical Yoyo. Meru's dream is to become an idol and tends to dress like one. She's known Noel since the two were children.

'

Super Heroine Chronicle has two systems that weren't fully explained. There is a Soul Sympathy technique that appears to let players choose one of three characters. You can also do an extra attack, which also presents three options to players. Details about these will be revealed later on.

Lead Your Army Into Battle In Battle Princess of Arcadia

Nippon Ichi Software has shared another short gameplay video of their side-scrolling action-RPG Battle Princess of Arcadia. The story is centered around Plume, the princess sworn to protect the kingdom of Schwert. Throughout the game, you'll run across the continent of Weltecs fighting monsters in a team of three, but at certain points, you'll have to lead an army against enemy troops from the kingdoms of Armatura.

'

Your army consists of different branches who each use a different type of weapon and have their own strengths and weaknesses. In battle, you will switch between these branches and arrange them into offensive or defensive formations, all while fighting in the front line to boost their morale. When your army's morale is high enough, you can also unleash a special attack.

'

Battle Princess of Arcadia will be released for the PlayStation 3 on September 26.

Senran Kagura Burst Coming To North America From Xseed

Senran Kagura Burst Coming To North America From Xseed

As both Marvelous AQL and Xseed have hinted to Siliconera in the past, Senran Kagura Burst is coming to the Nintendo 3DS in North America as a download title.

As detailed in our past reports on the game, Senran Kagura Burst features two games in one—an upgraded version of the original Senran Kagura (titled Skirting Shadows) with gameplay improvements and its story sequel, Senran Kagura Burst (titled Crimson Girls).

Senran Kagura Burst Coming To North America From Xseed

Each game allows you to take control of five female ninjas, each with their own special abilities. In between the game’s brawler-like stages, the story is told through a visual novel format. As the ninjas take damage, their clothing will get damaged (and eventually destroyed), too, which is one of the series’ more infamous features.

Xseed say that Senran Kagura Burst will feature Japanese voices with English subtitles. The game is slated for release in North America via the Nintendo eShop in fall 2013. Surprisingly, the game is rated “T” by the ESRB.

Monster Hunter 4 Lets You Bring Capcom Mascot Instead Of Felyne

Monster Hunter 4 Lets You Bring Capcom Mascot Instead Of Felyne

Bored with Felynes for some reason? Capcom has you covered with its latest collaboration crossover for Monster Hunter 4. Players who pick up Capbon—Capcom’s official magazine—on September 24 will find a code for a downloadable quest.

Complete that, and the rewards are synthesis materials to create Capbon gear for Felynes that will transform them into' Capbon, the Capcom magazine’s mascot.

Capbon is a green salamander/dragon who runs around holding on to its namesake book, and not a peninsula of Tunisia. Because everyone needs a totally out-of-place-but-oh-so-cute mascot fighting alongside them in Monster Hunter 4, which launched September 14th.

How A Chef And An Anime Fan Became Fighting Game Characters In Chaos Code

How A Chef And An Anime Fan Became Fighting Game Characters In Chaos Code

Chaos Code is coming out in North America for PlayStation 3 soon. Like Super Cosplay War Ultra, FK Digital created a cast of interesting characters like Bravo, a chef that cooks his opponent in a wok, an android that goes to high school, and an otaku. How did FK Digital come up with these characters? That's what Siliconera asked FK Digital.

'

I think the cast of characters in Chaos Code makes the game standout. Where did you get the idea for wacky characters like Bravo and Hikaru who is an otaku?

'

Mickey Lin, Producer: It takes some guts to design wacky characters. That’s not what people usually do. Most of the time, anime and comics have cool-looking male characters as protagonists. People gravitate to those types of characters. We were really worried how players would take to these wacky characters, but their response proves that we’d made the right decision.

'

It all goes back to our experience developing Super Cosplay War Ultra. SCWU is a game filled with cutesy characters and funny anime scenes. We care more about if players are having fun playing our game than working on balancing combat. If you successfully execute a combo, you will feel like you it is a huge achievement. The player against you may admire your skill and spectators may cheer for you. But, for those who don’t know about fighting games, they won’t feel anything. All they know is you won the bout. We want people who aren’t gamers and people who just watch someone else play to enjoy our game too.

'

Of course, we still have handsome guys and pretty girls in this game [laughs].

'

'

Michael Lin, Director: We get inspiration for character design by the people we meet everyday and created exaggerated versions of them.

'

We imagined how these people were intensely focused on their profession. The attack moves they use when they need to fight that are inspired by their job. A passionate chef who brings his cooking skills and kitchen appliances to battle, a fired up anime fan who fights as if it’s the last fight, and a teen comic creator who dresses up to attack enemies ' these characters are influenced by anime. I’m sure players can tell the moves these characters use are fueled by their passion of their jobs and hobbies. What makes these characters interesting is how they exaggerate their passion.

'

Which character is your favorite?

'

Mickey: [shouts] I love Rui the most!

'

How A Chef And An Anime Fan Became Fighting Game Characters In Chaos Code

'

Ever since I started developing games, I always like designing high school girl characters. This archetype feels young and energetic. Especially after I saw a female character that is a “combat expert in high school” in a fighting game, it made me want to create a high school girl character even more.

'

How A Chef And An Anime Fan Became Fighting Game Characters In Chaos Code

'

This is the design for Gucci. I created this character for a free-to-play PvP game a while back.

'

Can you tell us about some designs or ideas for characters that didn't make it into Chaos Code?

'

Mickey: Well, the game is set in the near future. When we were planning the game, every one of us drew whatever they wanted to make and we started from there. Most of the designs that we dropped either didn’t match the world setting or lacked personality.

'

You asked a couple questions about Bravo. Every fighting game has a wrestler-like character. We also had one when we were planning for Chaos Code. This was a design we made for a wrestler.

'

How A Chef And An Anime Fan Became Fighting Game Characters In Chaos Code

'

But, that’s not what we want. This kind of design is straightforward and lacks originality. We wanted to make all characters you can play as in Chaos Code are interesting ones. Of course, we dropped more characters besides the wrestler and maybe we can bring some of these cut characters to life in the future. Actually, my favorite character, Rui, was once cut.

'

Cait & Sith has an interesting fighting style with two characters tied together. What inspired this character's fighting style?

'

It goes back to having unique characters with personality to them. Cait & Sith are not common in fighting games, and even if there are twins in other fighting games those characters are not a single fighter. As siblings, Cait & Sith are really close and the concept art we drew shows them holding hands while walking. Their attacks were inspired by this picture.

'

'

We want our chef to fight like a chef. Because all of our characters are brimming with personality, we want our twins stand out in the crowd. When designing moves for Cait & Sith, we looked at a lot of sports where you play in a two person team such as doubles in tennis when we designed the moves for the twins. There are quite a few moves that we didn’t include in this game, we might save them to use in the future.

'

Siliconera will have more about Chaos Code close to the game's release in North America.
